Burnout, also known as a peel out or power brake, is the practice of keeping a vehicle stationary and spinning its wheels, causing the tires to heat up and smoke due to friction.
"Why would anyone do this?" We have heard this from the very first time a car was tied down to a specially constructed concrete pad, a little water thrown on the tires, then let loose. Most classes 30 seconds.
We knew the driver would fulfill their yearnings, but we had no idea those watching would be even more excited. This was the crowd-pleaser we were looking for. Soon a second pad was required and today we have three pads available to accomodate even more drivers and more excitement to the crowds . . . they come from miles around to watch the burnouts of cars, trucks, motorcycles and just about anything else.
